FAQ

Benefits of Using Natural Lip Balm

1. What is a natural lip balm?

Natural lip balm is a lip care product formulated using primarily natural and organic ingredients, without the addition of synthetic chemicals, parabens, and artificial fragrances.

2. How is natural lip balm different from other commercial lip balms?

While commercial lip balms might contain synthetic ingredients or fillers, natural lip balms prioritize using plant-based, organic, and naturally derived ingredients. This means they often have fewer chemicals and potential irritants.

3. Why should I choose natural lip balm over regular lip balms?

Natural lip balms are free from harmful chemicals that might cause irritation or allergies in sensitive individuals. They can also be more environmentally friendly and provide nourishing benefits directly from nature.

4. Why does Lip Ganache not include Sunscreen?

Many of our customers have asked why we do not have a lip balm with SPF. The answer is that the most commonly used sunscreens today are chemicals. They include oxybenzone, dioxybenzone, octyl methoxycinnamate, and padimate-O. Since our product is labeled as all-natural, we can’t, in good conscience, use those chemicals. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are naturally occurring minerals that provide a physical barrier to UV rays, but they also contain a white pigment which most people would find unattractive.

5. Are natural lip balms moisturizing?

Absolutely! Natural lip balms often contain ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, and beeswax which are known for their deep moisturizing properties.

6. Can natural lip balms help heal chapped lips?

Yes. The natural oils and butters in these balms can provide a protective barrier on the lips, aiding in healing and preventing further chapping.

7. Do natural lip balms have a fragrance or taste?

Many natural lip balms derive their scent and flavor from natural ingredients like essential oils or plant extracts. The aroma or taste is typically milder and more natural than synthetic fragrances.

8. Are natural lip balms eco-friendly?

In general, natural lip balms tend to be more eco-friendly. They often use sustainable ingredients and have biodegradable or recyclable packaging. However, checking the brand's ethos and packaging details is always good.

9. Is natural lip balm suitable for people with sensitive skin?

Most of the time, yes. Since natural lip balms contain fewer synthetic chemicals, they are less likely to irritate. However, always check the ingredient list if you have a known allergy or sensitivity.

10.  Can children and pregnant women use natural lip balms?

Generally, natural lip balms are safer for children and pregnant women due to the absence of harmful chemicals. However, always check with a pediatrician or obstetrician and review ingredient lists to ensure safety for specific conditions or ages.

Remember, "natural" doesn't always mean "better" for everyone. It's always important to read ingredient lists, understand what you're putting on your skin, and determine what works best for your unique needs.
